About Us

Our consulting business was founded in 1972 by  Karl Kort, who took comfort in applying his trade in the forests of Pennsylvania.  Upon receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Sciences from Penn State University, Karl began serving woodland owners across the Central and Northeastern portions of Pennsylvania aiding those in need of forest management, and sale administration of standing timber and is still an active full time consultant working with his son, Nathan.  Nathan obtained his Associate Degree in Forest Technology, after serving in the U.S. military, from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport and has worked in partnership with his father since 2008.  This father and son team manages over 1,500 acres of private woodlands annually helping preserve Pennsylvania’s woodlands for our future generations.
